The 2012 version of our annual family retreat at Camp Montgomery was just like all the other years:
A WONDERFUL TIME FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED!
Each year, mid-April, FPC invites members of all ages to come together for a weekend of fun and fellowship. Hosted by Camp Montgomery, attendees are provided great meals, opportunities to swim and play, access to kayaks and canoes, beautiful scenery, and the chance to relax in a family-friendly environment.
This year’s group cooked smores over an open fire, sat on rocking chairs, sweated on the volleyball court, cooled off in Crystal Lake, sang songs together, danced with the Wii, broke a couple ping pong balls, played board games, and managed to spend time getting to know others from our church family.
Pastor Doug Ganyo led a relaxed Sunday morning worship service reflecting on Jesus’ words in Matthew 6. ”Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink… And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow.”
FPC also donated two rocking chairs to Montgomery in memory of two special men: Doug Whitman and Stan Bell . With members of both families present, we held a special dedication Saturday night.
