Gathering of Presbyterian Women!

The First Presbyterian women will be hosting the Women of the Presbytery of St. Augustine at their annual meeting, the Gathering, on Saturday, January 28.The Gathering will culminate about 18 months of planning and work by our First Presbyterian women.  We are all thrilled to welcome our guests for a day of fun, fellowship, worship and learning.  The theme of the Gathering 2012 is “Fishers of Women: Blessings of the Sea”.  The theme correlates with this year’s study of the Beatitudes.

One of the highlights of the day will be the luncheon speaker, Sandra Hinton-Baker, informing the ladies of our Amelia Island Turtle Watch as she shares some of her beautiful art.  Other important highlights include three workshops headed by local women: Sandi Neal on the church library, DeAnn Johnson about our local project making pillows and bags for the children of Micah’s Place, and Lynn Hicks from our neighbor, Memorial Methodist, on Church Hymnology.
