Our choir is a group of dedicated, fun loving people, who enjoy singing praises to the Lord. Fellowship and camaraderie is strong with these folks. The chancel choir enhances the worship of the Lord during both Sunday morning services. Music training or experience is NOT required to be a member, just a joy of singing. If you enjoy singing or would like to sing in the choir please come join us at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening for our weekly rehearsal.
If you don’t even know what part you need to sing, we would be happy to help you fit in where you feel most comfortable. The music covers a wide range of types from Spirituals to Classical. We are blessed to be accompanied by Carol Whitman, who is one of the most accomplished musicians in the area. Gabriela Stegman draws from her wealth of musical training, experience and skills to provide direction, encouragement and leadership for the chancel choir.
The First Presbyterian Church Praise Band is part of the worship team of the church. They have been privileged to play for the contemporary service, Youth Sunday, congregant Becca Gillespie’s ordination into ministry, and have provided entertainment and worship at the many outings the church has held, such the Camp Montgomery Family Retreat, and the recent church service held at Fort Clinch, and the beach and park on Atlantic Blvd. They have also played for the many people who have been served at the Hope House and participated in the community services that are held quarterly at different churches. The band consists of 4 acoustic guitars, bass guitar, drums and djembe drum, and all those who want to sing join in.
FPC has a beautiful three octave set of hand bells and a talented group, the PresbyBrells to ring them under the direction of Louanne Lind. Speak to Louanne after any service about joining this fun group that adds a valuable extra dimension to our worship experience. There is always room for another ringer.
