I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina where I graduated from Charleston Southern University (formerly the Baptist College at Charleston). We moved to Fernandina in 1999 when my husband was transferred to Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. We have lived in many places throughout his Navy career, but when we arrived in Fernandina, I knew we had found paradise near my husband’s family in Jacksonville and mine in SC. He has since retired after 30 years of active duty service in the United States Navy. We have two sons with sweet wives and five precious granddaughters that are my delight and joy. I am challenged and energized by the work that God has called me to do. It gives me great joy to serve at FPC. My passion lies in helping others discover their spiritual gifts and place of service in growing God’s Kingdom. Spiritual formation and worship arts draw me closer to God. I am fueled by sunshine, warm weather and the constant affirmation of this congregation. I believe in being a Joy Filled Christian and encourage others toward that end. My door is always open.
