Interfaith Dinner Network (IDN)  the 4th Tuesday of each month.

If you love cooking, or seeing the happy faces of those receiving food, you will enjoy volunteering with the Interfaith Dinner Network at Hope House!  Our church feeds the hungry in our area every 4th Tuesday of the month.  Come prep, serve, and clean up along with fellow church members and spread some much needed cheer!  Contact the church office for more information and to sign up.

  

Deacon-Led Teams.  Our deacons could use your help! 

 

Meals Team – Are you able to whip up a casserole in short notice? You’d be a great fit for the Meals Team, which brings homemade meals to members who need them.

Neighbor-2-Neighbor Team – Are you handy with the toolbox?  Join the Neighbor-2-Neighbor Team and respond to fellow members’ request for small home repairs.

The Transportation Team  – Calling all drivers!  Some FPC folks need a ride to appointments.  When you take them, you also provide company during a tough time.

Prayer Team – Are you passionate about interceding for other, and discreet with personal details?  Join fellow members of the Prayer Team in bringing our petitions to God.

One-off opportunities.

One-off opportunities are available all year-round.  Look out for them in the bulletin, e-blast and announcements during service.  Sign up for the weekly e-blast by calling the church office.

Barnabas provides medical and dental services, food program sand crisis assistance to help people get back on their feet.  Barnabas’ New to You retail store has two locations, one in Fernandina Beach and one in Yulee. Shop, donate or volunteer to support their programs!  Help is needed to unload, bag and distribute at the Food Pantry on Jasmine St, and during monthly mobile food distributions in Callahan, Old Nassauville and on island on Elm Street. Nassau County’s Council on Aging provides comprehensive support to seniors.  You can help with them over Bingo! at their Senior Center, visit a lonely senior, teach an art, music or fitness class, deliver meals to homebound seniors, help with small home repairs, or sign up for special projects.  Contact the Nassau County Council on Aging at 904-775-5490 or visit the Nassau Council on Aging website.

You can make a difference in the lives of the kids at America’s Youth!  With your companionship and care, these at risk kids, who may be failing in school can begin to flourish and reach their full potential.  You can help in many ways:  read to the young ones; supervise their homework; play sports; teach Bible study on Friday afternoons, or simply sit and chat with them.  Contact America’s Youth at 904-310-6377 or visit the America’s Youth website.
